Wilkos Clematis Bargain

Popped into Wilkos today and found a couple of young Clematis among others on the shelf reduced to 20p from £3.98!!!, I couldn't resist , not a long wrong with them to be fair, just a couple of old leaves to remove and to a trained eye there was obviously lots of new growth coming so potted them up when I got home and will grow them on for a year before planting out..

Also picked up a Photinia 'Red Robin' yesterday for 50p!!

No actual sale beds for the plants, its just the ones that don't look 100% are being reduced and left amongst the full price ones so have to keep an eye out every time I go in

 

Nothing new reduced in my local Wilkos apart from a car wheel trim set with one missing, so only of interest to Reliant Robin owners perhaps.

 

They're also selling off a lot of plastic pots and drip trays at our store, for as little as 40p for 1lt size and up to £4 for approx 12lt size (they're roughly half price), they're not for me though as they are very bright orange!!!

 

Yes I have noticed the Wilko plastic plant pots etc. seem to be in a startling orange colour or a pale sludgy green . Not to my taste at all.
Asda are selling clematis , passion flowers , honeysuckle and other climbers again at 2 or 3 for £5 ( I can't remember ) They are all first year plants , but very healthy

 

Yes Harry Asda do have the Clematis and other climbing plants in for £3, 2 for £5 I think. Ours also has fairly good sized Magnolias for £6...

 

It's really frustrating seeing all the bargains you are picking up at Wilko's, they don't sell plants here.
