Just been to Wilkos for the first time after someone suggested going there for lawn seed. Must say I'm mightily impressed with their selection and prices! 2kg luxury lawn seed, a cordyline, sweetpeas, cayen pepper seed, sunflower seed, coleus, a 1 ltr sprayer AND a bucket, all for £15 :D
Can I get a hoorah for Wilkos...?

Do you think they'd get upset if I started skulking in the aisles? Maybe I could wear a GardenersCorner placard or something...

When people ask me what I want for birthdays and Christmas etc.I ask them to buy me vouchers for wilk's and B&Q. They really come in handy for my gardening stuff.(Is that sad!!) 02

Not at all sad O2. Great idea. People hate giving cash but it means you can get what you want, show it to the person concerned and say 'You bought me this.' I did this with fruit trees with my sister She didn't know what I wanted so I went to Wilko's with vouchers If I'd asked for cash she would have been offended.

Not only is it a great shop for garden gear but other stuff too I spent a nice little penny or two on halloween stuff last year....and yes I'm one of those sad people that buy stuff in the sale only to put away for a year before I can use them.....but boy the kids do love a haunted house on halloween so I think it's well worth the wait and we always try to have a better show than the year before! Hel.xxx.

Hi Helo Thought you might want to know Tesco sell all their seasonal stuff off cheap also, the best time to go is the day after the event.they sell them really cheap becaue they want rid, ready for their next promotion. They normally hide them away in a little corner somewhere [IMG] .So ask a member of staff where they are! o2

O2 I already know about Tesco although it's good for others to know about the sell offs too :D .

I brought an amazing amount of gardening gloves last year some as low as 10p a pair needless to say you can never have too many gardening gloves...wish I had brought more as I go through the gloves quicker than I do chocolate! :D Hel.xxx.
