Hi, sorry, another thread from me here.

Just wondering, Ive weed killed my lawn in preparation for renovation in september. Will these dead/dying weeds just disappear? will they scarify out once dead or will I have to dig them out?

I should clarify. Thing like the little clover leaves I expect will more or less dissappear. I was thinking more about the bigger leafed ones like thistles and the even bigger ones, plantain I think?.

It depends what you used as a weedkiller.

That stuff should kill off most weeds although tougher weeds with big tap roots may grow back again and need a second application. Is it your intention to kill off everything including the existing grass? If so just use something like Roundup, that will kill all the weeds right down to their roots and no need to dig up afterwards. If you find a few of your weeds re-growing then buy a small spray gun of ready mixed Roundup and use it to spot kill.

I'm happy that weeds will die, (I've actually just bought some Verdon to hit it again) what I'm wondering is, once dead, will the weeds still need removed? As they are quite sizeable.

They'll fall to bits when you rake the lawn (e.g. to get it read for overseeding). If they don't fall to bits then rake it harder :heehee:
