For the pasted few years we have had a pair of Wrens building but no useing a nest in our garden.
This summer they used an old bird house, laid eggs which hatched.
It was lovely to watch them right by the back door of our house.
    2 beautiful little baby birds.
They were days away from flying the nest when a cat killed them.
We haven't seen anything of the Wrens since.
Do you think they may come back and nest again?

That was a shame Lyn :( but they will try again next spring but whether they use your box or not you'll have to wait and see. [IMG]

Lyn resite the nest were the cats cann't get at it clean it out with luck they may come back, wrens are one of the few birds that will use the nest boxes for shelter and sometimes quite a few will gather in one box to keep warm.

The cat took everything out of the nest.
I have moved it higher and away from the clematis that it climbed to get to the nest.
So I really hope they come back.
I have 3 nest boxes in the garden 1 never used the other used by a cheeky squirrel to store nuts and this one that as only been used once.
