Hi all I recently bought 3 fairly badly wilted Patio Roses at a very cheap price(talking pennies here lol) and I wonder how best to save them.. I know they can be saved as there are some good green shoots still on the bushes. They've been put in larger pots and well watered and placed outside in the sun. I know now isn't the time to prune.. but I've cut all the dead/droopy parts off one of them should I cut back the other 2 and just leave the good stems/leaves or just leave them be and hope for the best? :cnfs:

    Thanks,

    Cheryl x

    Hi Ciryluk.
Woo knows what he is talking about.
All I would add is, if you have bought rescue roses for pennies then don't expect to get prize specimens in the first year. I would chop them down and feed them up and hope for better things next year. They can only get better.l

Thanks for the advice, I have fed them aswell... they're really sorry looking specimens now lol well I don't expect anything from them this year and as I've started my garden late in the season I'm mainly planning things for next year anyway... just having a few things on the go in the meantime so interest is not lost!

Got me 4 fantastic looking patio Roses yesterday... varieties unknown but 2 have rather petit but pretty deep red flowers on them and the other 2 have an egg yolk shade of yellow flowers on them.. blooms are larger than on the red ones... the "wilted" yellow ones will be planted amongst them when they are ready! :)
