Our perfectly healthy seedlings have suddenly started looking very 'meh'. The bottom leaves are wilting and shrivling away. The upper leaves are green and healthy but the plants just look feeble - help!

Are they in a seed tray still, or in individual pots?

If in seed tray it might be "damping off"

If in pots it could either be too much water, or too little. (Or, unlikely, something has munched them, but unlikely to be all at the same time)

    If in pots:

Get a same-sized-pot, put some compost straight from the bag into it (same as you used for the Tomato plants). Do not water the compost (I presume it is neither bone dry, nor sopping wet? and preferably it is "somewhat moist" yes?)

Weigh it (either judge the weight in your hand, or stick it on the scales if you want to be sure)

Pick up the Tomato plant's pot.

Heavier? is has more water. A lot heavier? Probably over watered.

Lighter? it has less water. light-as-a-feather? Dry as a bone. Stand it in a tray of lukewarm tap-water (not rain water) for 30 minutes, then allow to drain.

    Good luck !

It could just be the seed leaves withering away, are they the first ones up the stem from the soil that are wilting? And as for plants looking feeble that could just be lack of light because the days are still too short really so the stems stretch up to gather as much light as possible it's called "etiolated".

    Steve...:)

My guess is too cold or too warm.
Its still very early, so without special conditions, heating and lighting, things will struggle.
