This was it in August last year....

    and this is it now...

Still a few gaps but have lots of stuff nearly ready to go in..and it's all really small still. But I haven't lost anything to the gales, so the advice of buying small plants for these conditions was sound [IMG] [IMG]
I already know I've made lots of mistakes with my planting...things too close together...in the wrong places  but have already started my 'changes for next year' list :D

Incredible, windy. [IMG] [IMG] Did you go to the same School of Slave Labour as BM? Your circle design is very effective.

Love you views ... I would move that bench up against the house so I could get lost in the hills!

Are you offering to come and help with the shovelling BM??? [IMG] :D :D

LoL - the 2nd pic is the view from the patio..great minds think alike it seems :D

    Thanks Dizi [IMG]

My next project is edging the lawns in bricks (a la Paladin [IMG] ) Because I really detest edging the bl**dy things...just gotta save up first..or 'acquire' some bricks :D

Gad, you really did slave away windy and the result is supurb! I agree with Sis about moving the bench so you can see that lovely view. I don't think I would have done much with those hills always in sight. Now we can also see your deck area, well done, and that gorgeous plant again.

Wow that's fantastic windy. The circles make the space seem so much bigger and it takes the eye into the landscape beautifully. Well done [IMG] [IMG]

What a difference thats made Windy - well done. Its a great feeling to know that you did it. I am sure you will get more kicks out of that than if you had paid a lot of money to someone else to do it.

It looks fantastic windy. You should be very proud of your garden. It`s like something from an Alan Titchmarch program. You`ve made it interesting and bigger. You`ll have to post pics in the summertime when it`s bursting. [IMG]

:D Alas, here in Cornwall we don't use bricks...aint that typical  But I'm asking about on the off chance that one of them has 400 lying about at home :D And then I'll have to schmooz one of the dumper drivers to take them home for me...all this being nice to men is killing me!!!
Oh, the pink thing is my Beschornaria...it's bonkers isn't it????
Thanks for all your kind comments guys....couldn't have done it without everyones advice, seeds, cuttings, laughs and strange ways....Thank you all [IMG]
