Winter Camelia's buds droping off

    :(:(My beautifull,new planted(about6,7 months ago)winter camelia had some nice buds and everyday they looked more red like just about to blossom recently i have noticed they drop off.Why is that?

    They got too dry. I read somewhere that you need to make sure they never dry out during August. If they do get dry then , then the buds fall off later.

    agree with Geoff.

    Give them plenty of water, preferably rain water as it has no lime in it. In the spring I would give them a good dressing of ericeaous compost.

    Agree with the above Celine. If you let Camelia dry out in summer they just drop the buds. What a shame but you'll know for next year.
