Winter flowering jasmine

Good Morning guys
I planted this jasmine this year, it hasn't grown at all but its flowered what am I doing wrong?

 

You are doing nothing wrong ,it looks perfectly healthy to me ,it’s just put all of it’s energy into flowering this winter.
I suspect it will shoot up next year.

It will start growing after it has flowered.

 

Im guessing 3 month, I can't properly remember when I planted it

 

Not long then, they do take a while to settle in and are slow growing , you will need to add some trellis and train it through as it doesn't self twine..... From April onwards give it a whole watering can to it self and add some tomato fertiliser food every week .... .... and they flower through the winter so yours is doing what it should do

I normally use miracle gro continuous release universal plant feed on everything, its that no recommended, a bad thing to do?

 

I don't feed anything like that or any shrub, only plants in pots.

 

I only mentioned due to where it is planted next to a fence and the soil looks rather impoverished.

Thanks for your advice spruce.. I did have trellising up but ive had to removing it, a neighbour didn't want any trellising on new fence to Ive purchased a twister plant support, hoping itll grow up that, with where it is I will feed it as you have recommended

 

I would be happy with that feed ... so not your fence ? you can buy metal trellis that you can stick in the ground and not touch the fence lots of fancy stuff about so you could make a feature .... winter jasmine branches are not heavy like climbing roses etc as you can train in the main branches then once happy let the other stems cascade down and they are more than happy to just stay at 6ft 2 meters.
