    Hi all,
We have this winter jasmine shrub that I normally tidy up this time of the year with the hedge trimmers into a neat shape, should I be doing this or is it best to leave it?
We always get yellow flowers on it in winter, but would we get far more if I didn’t prune it now?
    What would you recommend?
    Thanks.

Winter jasmine is normally pruned in spring, soon after the flowers have died, so it's a little late to do it now. I think I'd just give it a light trim now and a harder one next spring.

In my experience, they are as tough as old boots and I trim mine several times a year up to about October.

Yes, I’m a bit obsessed with trimming shrubs, keeping them tidy etc, it’s always flowered whenever I’ve trimmed it, but was thinking if I could resist the temptation I might be rewarded with even more flowers next January.
