Last year my front lawn got heavily infested with moss . I applied a feed moss-killer , then scarified it 4 weeks later . All was fine . Moss is growing again in the shady areas . I would like to apply sulphate of iron moss kill water mix at 4 gm / metre to keep it down as much as possible. I was thinking of doing this at the end of December . Is the treatment and timing OK ?

    TIA

Hi Harry, you can keep on putting on Moss Killer but it won't stop it coming back until you improve the drainage, if you can, where the moss keep reappearing.:dunno::coffee:

Hi Armandii , the front lawn usually never suffers from moss . It is in full sun and drains really well . I used to get a little moss behind a shrub but that was to be expected . But then after the 2013 winter the moss seemed to have spread over 50% of the lawn for some reason . So this year I was hoping to stop it getting a foothold with a winter moss kill treatment.

We also have a moss problem for the first time in a shady area. The only thing different is that we removed a large ash tree. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
