Glorious day and I spent most of it in the snowy forests. I took load of photographs which I'll not bore you with. Here are three:

    A stream in Birchanger Wood

Mighty trees on the plain in Hatfield Forest. I love the stark simplicity of this one. On a day like this, there is no colour in the landscape and this could almost be a black and white photograph.

Late afternoon and a lowering sky with more snow on the way. I love this forest.

I love the first picture, Hornbeam ... but no, I don't think I'll attempt to paint it as I think those snowy branches are way out of my league.

I love the first one too Hornbeam. It reminds me of when we lived in Connecticut as kids. Is that why you also liked it best Lofl?

Sure is, big Sis. Just like where we used to go down the slope in roasting pan tops or whatever it was, although we were given a sled for Christmas! :D :D

GW, I do think the second one is brill, also, well, all three are. Rosa is painting the third one, I think.

    Beautiful pictures!

On painting snow - it is sometimes interesting to use the white page for the snow - instead of more white paint.
