I bought 5 plugs off Dichondra Silver Falls this year . I and @JWK discovered their growth was a tad slowish . Now I have one healthy specimen about 2 feet long. Two puny ones that were swamped out petunia baskets , and two swamped by my fuchsias that I have not uprooted yet.
My question is how or can I store these over winter ? Sheltered spot outside or in a cold greenhouse ( would I water them ? ) ?

    TIA

I'm going to try one in my frost free greenhouse Harry, I reckon they will are very tender - actually as I've got a few I might try one in the cold greenhouse too as an experiment. This is mine a couple of days ago, at long last it got going:

This is my best one John . It has grown too a good 2 feet long in a shadey position , with a Begonia Santa Cruz . I'll try and winter them in my cold greenhouse . I am too ashamed to put photos of my other Silver Falls on here  They can't compete in the rough and tumble of a hanging basket , getting swamped by more vigorous plants . Hence I have several puny specimens .
PS Note the Petunia Explorer still going strong , bottom left , and its November tomorrow ! Japanese variety grown from seed . Germination very erratic though. Varies from 0 to 100%:noidea:

My others are very poor too, swamped by the begonias.

We need a new thread on here John .............. "show me your cr**py plants " :snork:
The thing is with gardening you can think that it's only you having problems... big or small . Luckily on here , you realise that problems are the norm for gardening . And that's what makes us garden to try and get the upper hand :blue thumb: Illegitimi non carborundum ;)

I have just taken late cuttings from Dichondra SF although trying to find ones with a heel wasn't easy, I keep mine in the greenhouse which is heated to about 4/5c in Winter so I am not sure about surviving in an unheated one. Cut back and repotted and kept reasonably dry, a bright window indoors may be ok.

Thanks @strongylodon , I'll do that . Pot them up in a nice plant pot and put them in our spare room south facing.
