I didn’t know that. Is this a regular (annual) thing?

It's taken place over the past few years.

The RHS is doing away with several of the London shows, as it appears the cost of setting up a show is too high. Regarding the London shows. I have noticed a vast drop in exhibitors and visitors.

Well worth going Freddy, we usually go but not this year.

Be prepared for very busy car parks and if you don't arrive there at opening time you will likely end up in an overflow area and a long walk or bus ride into the gardens.

Once inside there is plenty to see and buy.

I’m thinking I could find a local campsite and stay a few days. When the time gets closer, I’ll look into the bus service. We stayed fairly local to Wisley quite a few years ago, Horsham?

Horsham is about 30 miles away from Wisley, so not that close. I'll ask my brother as he sometimes comes down in his camper van and stays nearer.

That's much closer Freddy, practically on the doorstep. If you plan to go next year please let me know, we can meet up there - and any other members who plan to visit.

At least there is space to move around in. For years the London shows were so packed, it was like being on a conveyor belt.

Perhaps the downside of Wisley show is, if it pours down with rain.

It can get a bit squelchy! Obviously all the tents are on the green areas so can get a tad churned up but not usually an issue

Use to go every year with a friend, we had a private view before the gates opened but let’s just say my friend liked her drink and well it was entertaining as the day moved on.
