Hi all we have 2 very large wisteria trees one on the back patio wall and one at the bottom end of the garden. The other has grown up the side of the bungalow which is very old. I would like to take cuttings from all or one of these. Firstly when do I take cuttings. Ive cut back the one against the hse 3 times in last few months and has loads of brown shoots all over. The two trees are full of flowers. Which would be the best to take cuttings and when do I take them. Also do I put them in the greenhse first for a while or do they go straight out.

Wisteria are usually grafted, so I assume they are neigh on impossible from cuttings?

Layering might work (as I doubt that is productive enough for commercial propagation)

Or grow some from seed and graft yours onto the seedlings?
