Reading through the threads I have noticed how many of you line or use polyestrene packaging to protect your plants in the greenhouse. This woman is on a upcycle mission, neighbour's, friends and family work colleges..bring it on. I'm just wondering do you pack around the plants or sit them on it and do I perhaps line the sides of the greenhouse??

"this woman", meaning : you, or...? Anyway, as far as I know it it mainly the roots that need protecting.

I've used insulation around the lower glass panes during the winter to keep heat in. Also stood my heated propagator on some to stop losing heat downwards. I use old house insulation sheets rather than old packaging, but I'm sure that would be good too provided it is a usable shape.

Styrene is a great insulator, remember you need to trap warm inside, not cold or you'll make a freezer.
