I noticed the question about little flies in compost, which was useful to read. Does the same thing apply to woodlice? I seem to have a lot of these crawling on the top of my compost.:cnfs:

Woodlice are part of the primary break down of material into compost. They are very useful little critters in the compost heap.

As far as I know Woodlice (slaters) are harmless.
Sometimes they finish off the job slugs have started and get into fruit that slugs have made holes in and get a bad press for it but they are not the originators of that damage - thinking strawberries here.
I never worry about slaters. They do a good job in the compost heap.
