I didn't realise there was a Medway Tunnel until you mentioned it the other day and now ... I get to see it! Likewise with the Shopping Centre. It's an education when you post

Why @"M" you have made an old Owl very happy ;) in all seriousness "M" they are now going to build another tunnel under the Thames to relieve the traffic on the Dartford crossing, which will in effect go some way to destroying Shorne country park at Gravesend,

            We now have
            The Dartford crossing
            The Medway tunnel
The M2 crossing and the channel crossing 2 bridges over the Medway
            The Sheppey crossing

Yes, the new tunnel has been very much in the news lately

The only one of those you listed which I haven't used yet, is the Medway Tunnel. Maybe when the days are longer and drier and take a little trip through it just to make sure I'm not missing out on anything :heehee:

Loving the photos, as always, mr Owl. It gives me inspiration to carry my camera around more! No! I WILL TAKE CAMERA OUT FOR DOG WALKS EVERY DAY! as I'm always wishing I had it with me. My trouble is that I take out the whole kit out that weighs a ton! I must learn to rely on just one lens and adapt to the situation.

Or ... you could get your dog a back pack and put your camera bits and bobs in there.
Obviously it takes time to get your dog used to an empty one first and then build up the weight.

What sort of dog do you have? Probably not worth it if you have a Jack Russell :heehee:

Ha ha! He's a lab/staffie cross and would probably jump in the pond with it. Good thinking though. Off to look at the price for a pony. Will make my own saddle bags.

A staffie lab cross would love going out to "work" with his back pack (wrap the camera stuff in sealed poly bags?)

Interesting pictures @wiseowl. Are they solar panels on the roof of the new outlet shopping centre?

I'm surprised it's taken so long to consider another tunnel. It'll certainly take the pressure off Dartford from the eastern side and there's very little at Tilbury to be disturbed in the process. However, I know that the residents of Orsett aren't pleased and I sympathise with them. Born and reared in Essex I know the area.
