    Lovely place to visit Woo and nice interior and garden.:)I see that it is National Trust so will have to visit it sometime when we are next down that way:thmb:

    Well there is no dount that I LOVED those pictures........so amazing to see the history..........off to Google Ightham now!!

    Lovely pics, Woo. I adore Ightham Mote. It's not so big and imposing that you couldn't imagine living there (in my dreams!!!).

    Hint - there is a beautiful mulberry tree in the garden. No one harvests the fruit and most visitors have no idea that the berries are edible. I have been known to sit on the nearby seat and eat a few. ( I hope that doesn't make me one of those nasty NT criminals we all tut-tutted about in another thread.)

    I would never leave my house if i had a house like Ightham Mote...........its stunning!!
