    Great to see you getting back out on your walks Woo.
    Thanks for the pics. I love the sea birds. What are they ?
    My own favourite walks are in the woods or on the shore.

    Hi Woo & Alice,

    Looks like a redshank & a black headed gull with its winter plumage, the black cap will develop as the mating season aproaches.

    Good morning Alice and Ziggy thank you,Alice sorry I couldn't answer sooner as I didn't have a clue on the ID of the bird,Ziggy my bird ID leaves a lot to be desired,many thanks for that,much appreciated my friend :) Kandy has repeatedly told me what this bird is in the past,but I think the old brain cells are not regenerating like they used to:dh::)

    The clue is in the legs, red shanks, try that as an aide memoire.

    Mind you, if its got red legs, a black & white body & an orange beak, then thats an oyster catcher.
