image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Not a hobby though couldn't think of where else to post. My house flooded in February... It's taken 6 months of drying, mess, dust, veg going to seed but at long last I have the shell of my new kitchen in. There maybe no floor, or electric plugs but it's a far cry from no sink, cooking facilities so just had to share. This is the first full day back in the garden and what a joy. I can even make myself a coffee without the risk of contaminated water. Still a long way to go as the bathroom hasn't begun but tasted my first garden strawberry and yes it was worth the wait.

Thanks guys. It's very easy to daydream at the sink. 6 months of no water, no cooking facilities and all walls taken back to brick has been a little stressful. Spending time just looking out at the garden is slowly making up for it. The veg that hasn't bolted is being put to very good use.

We have a Members Gallery you could use in the future Gwen, but your thread is fine here. :)

What an emotional upheaval it must have been for you but it's good to see it's starting to come together now with the new kitchen fitted. :)

Glad you did share: having to go through such a stressful 6 months is no joke, but ... the kitchen is looking positively lovely!
Don't forget to let us know when you are having the Kitchen Christening Party ... we like a good party here at GC :ccheers:
