Wow, what a super team England has ! The possibility of being in the finals is VERY exciting.
So nice to watch a clean, healthy game and their commitment is first class,

I agree Jenny, and it's so nice that they don't do any of that stupid feigning of injuries or cheating like in the men's game, if a lady goes down injured you know she is really hurt. Good luck to them tonight, too late for me to watch as I need my beauty sleep (:))

Quite agree with both of you, in my view the ladies play a far more entertaining game, without all the diving, arguing, cheating and general stupidity which blights the men's game.

I won't be staying up until midnight to see the game, way past my bedtime, so I'll probably be up early tomorrow morning instead to watch it on iPlayer before going in to work.

I can't say I've watched much, but I must say the ladies are a credit to the game, something the men could (but wont) learn from. I quite like football, but it's totally ruined by the antics, quite pathetic IMV.
            Well done ladies :dbgrtmb:

It's hard to explain Jenny. It's really not like watching football at all. Same game, 22 people on the pitch, try to score more goals than the other team, but that's where the similarity ends. Women's football just seems really slow, laboured and contrived and I just can't get into it. And I'm friends with some ex-England ladies players and have seen them play live but it honestly just doesn't do it for me

Oh what a terrible way to lose, a freak goal :( It seems England were on top too. They should be very proud of themselves for getting so far into the competition, now it's the Germans to beat for 3rd.

                          I've watched all England's matches. I think we've a good chance.

I've not been impressed with the USA. They won their last match with a free kick that somehow went through a crowd of defenders and the previous one with two penalties.

I may have to mute the commentary. These days commentators arrive at the ground with reams of statistics researched by someone or other and insist on bending our ears whilst they provide stuff we can get off the internet ourselves if we were that bothered. I wouldn't want to look it up during a game. There's so much of it sometimes I think I'm "at a lecture with some added visual aids," rather than watching a game of football.

What they must not do, is try to play thirty and forty yard passes out of their own penalty area straight up the middle of the park. They've done it so often when they've been intercepted by an opposing player, as ours has stood there waiting for it. It's lazy football by both our players. The earliest example was how we conceded a goal to Scotland.

Regardless of the result, Jodie Taylor will win the award for "best eyebrows."
