Twas a sunny day on may 14th when I went out to hoe,
I took all of my clothes off & started down a row.
The weeds were falling nicely, till I began to know,
That splinters on the handle, had got me down below.

The splinters hurt but with my shirt, I put the problem right,
A bandage came in handy, but gave the wife a fright.
The problem solved, I gained resolve, to carry on with fettle,
The next job on the list was strimming down the nettles.

Revving up the strimmer, I boldly waded in there,
The screaming started quickly, the swearing came from thin air,
The running to the rhubarb, my god you should have been there,
With legs of green, a curdling scream and swabs & swabs of vinegar.

Recovering from my ordeal, I looked around composing,
There must be some stuff that I can do that don't require some clothing.
I looked and looked for other tasks, but sinkingly I noticed,
The only job left on the list was grubbing up the roses.

Having just looked in the miirror, I don't think so, Kindredspirit!! I might be neighbour proof because of my high fences but I couldn't risk anyone seeing mu perennials! Plus the fact that every stinging, biting creature would be lining up to exact revenge!!!

    Marley,

Looking at this picture, don't think so, there'd be a queue outside your garden door!

    Well i'd be round like a shot:D:thumbsup:

Sorry about rhyming without a poetic licence, but i've added a few more verses. Need someone to write the music now for our GC folk band.

Sounds like fun. Especially considering I have an old lady as one neighbour, and a catholic church on the other side. I might cause the nuns to have impure thoughts.
