Hiya. I have a problem with some small white and transparent worms that appear at the Base of my seedling Squash plants. They seem to eat the roots of the healthy plants and i'm puzzled as to what they are and how to get rid of them. The trays of squash seedlings are in a greenhouse and start off strong and after around 4 weeks they begin to die off one after the other. I pull the dying plant out and find these maggot like worms in the soil. Any help would be much apreciated. Thanks Nik

Sign that your compost is a bit too wet. Trouble is Squash are very susceptible to almost all insecticides.
I would change the compost you are using for a non-peat one and increase the draining ability with some added Perlite.
