I personally always had the best of taste, and still like everything I bought.... (ahem!)

But my Mum perpetrated the purchase of sugar sugar, by the Archies, for my older cousin, who somehow managed to accept it gratefully! As she rather liked heavy metal, it wasn't her favourite record.

And Mr D bought the ying-tong song (but he was VERY young at the time, he insists I add .....

Sheesh kandyfloss - you just caused me to revisit my vinyl and discovered records, I had forgotten I had. The one record that I have never played since I bought it (don't even remember it is - Masterpiece - the very best of sky. I really must revisit and chuck where appropriate - or of course free to a good home :D :D .

Mind I got most of the LPs of the Moody Blues - and then there's Queen!!

I've still got a record-player but the tape deck on my hi-fi (there's a nice old-fashioned word for you!) went kaput recently so I'm considering a replacement but think I'd sooner keep the player. But I have a whole library of different LPs, EPs and even singles. (I know - what's an EP!) I even have some 78rpm singles!! But nothing to play them on - sniff, sniff!

I was just posting in another forum the Buddy Holly Community. Funny how some really young people are getting into all this 50s and 60s music.

Okay - you can ignore me now and carry on with the thread!!!!
