    :thumb: Lucky Lady.... !!! ;)Hope she has some babies one to keep her going for another 25yrs..!!:D They are pretty magnificent plants when in flower.. There are always some in flower in Jamaica, where they actually get even bigger than this one.... This is pretty unusual for the UK I think, although they are blessed with the milder climate down there..!!!:thumb: Thanks Labrador..!

    Magnificent! Even the dead stem and flowers looks pretty and lasts years.

    Y'know, this bugs me because when one flowered here several years ago, no-one even noticed it and there wasn't so much as a sentence in the local rag. I took a few rather poor pics on a very misty day in July 2002. The spike was well over 20ft high and a good 12" in diameter at the base. I understand it took 17 years to get to flowering and the original plant was huge - a massive rosette of fierce, 6ft. high leaves.
