It started on 23rd of August last year, so thought I'd start checking when passing.

Still 'only' 50% off seeds. Strangely, the whole of the Mr Fothergills display has dissapeared, but they were cheaper than T&M which together with Franchi are now the only ones left and about half of those are sold out.

Will have another look next week.

All seeds apart from Franchi have been removed from display, but it was a Wyevale that changed to Blue Diamond yesterday. So these stores may not be having a 50p seed sale Blue Diamond acquires 8 former Wyevale Garden Centres

EDIT: Visited a Wyevale (to use a load more £5 vouchers) and the still have their displays of T&M/Fothergills/etc. seeds, but not much left, we're now using them to get mycorrhizal fungi for £1, plants for nothing, £15 terracotta strawberry planter reduced to half price for £2.50, etc. Got their last packet of Orange Paruche.

Does anybody know what Blue Diamond garden centres do with their end of season seeds?

Unfortunately the 'Wyvevale' I passed on my way home from Dorset is now a Blue Diamond, so was unable to check whether it's started.

And no £5 vouchers (so far) for this weekend, so wont bother going to a Wyevale this weekend.

:ideaIPB: Shall just have to check online to see when they get reduced https://www.wyevalegardencentres.co...N=3195884495&Nrpp=24&No=0&Nr=product.active:1 Still showing as half price :frown: I'm making a list of links to all the seeds I'd be interested in at 50p, so I'm all ready to order online as soon as (if?) they reduce them further any save faffing around in-store.

Something odd has happened, sometime this morning the online seeds which were all half price have gone back up to full price, rather than down to 50p :rolleyespink:

            It's on!

Was at Go Outdoors Oxford and remembered there's a Wyevale other side of ring road, so called in just as they were putting the 50p signs out.

... success! Got there at the right time, the packets were still on the displays so really easy to find what l needed. They are about to tip them all into buckets. Thanks for the tip off scrungee !

                  Cor, 43 packets @ 50p each, that's expensive (£22.50 :yikes:).

I got these 33 packets for about £2, starting with free seeds using £5 off of £10's worth of half price seeds using printable vouchers, then buying a few more packets @ 50p each.

@Scrungee , Why do you need 7 packets of 'Suncherry' and 11 of 'Orange Panache'?

                    Because:
                    1) Orange Paruche and Suncherry are my favourite cherry tomatoes.
                    2) They cost £3.49 for 10 seeds and £3.69 for 5 seeds
                    3) They are F1 and cañnot be seed saved
                    4) Wyevales are being sold and this is probably the last year of getting them for pennies
4a) Free is my favourite price
                    5) They are 'use by' up to 2021 (and will probably last another few years)

                    6) That's only 145 seeds to be used over say 6 years, a max of 24 plants a year if they all germinate and none need rogueing out, plus there's seed swops and charity plant sales, so that leaves just about enough to grow in my 3 polytunnels with my other tomatoes.
                    7) I want enough for eating fresh, plus more for making roasted cherry tomato sauce. I have the equipment to process and pasteurise (AKA can) a year's supply of pasta sauce.
                    8) Getting normally very expensive seeds cheaply enables an element of risk taking with early sowings that would otherwise be too costly if lost to frost.

I bought multiples of the same variety of tomato too, for similar reasons to Scrungee. Tomato seed remains viable for many years.

I only bought what I needed but word was spreading quickly so the real bargains will soon go. Last year I bought several packets of F1 cucumber all female seed, these retail at nearly £5 a packet normally for only 5 seeds so to get them for a tenth of that is a bargain. My 4 or 5 packets will last a few years.
