Im having a problem with this tree.
Cost a bundle from local garden centre two years ago but has never flowered again.as to what else
The foliage is ok & when we purchased it was producing lovely white flowers from the branches.

Anyone care to help please as this was a very expensive wedding present.

phillipio, my guess would be that its settling in. It was probably slightly pot bound when planted and that could encourage it to flower.
I asume its a standard wisteria.
All wisterias are long term plants and improve year after year but they can take a few years to start to flower once planted out.
Pruning helps, I used to cut back long summer shoots to a couple of buds about now or next month, and then cut back any regrowth to one bud in winter.
Other than that I would say, just wait. [IMG]

I agree with Pete. Mine didn't flower for a couple of years after buying it, and whilst it is still modest at flowering, it is clearly happy and developing well.

Phillipio - I have a white wisteria as well -it was supposed to be the usual lavender flowering one, but after many years of waiting it turned out to be white. Mine definitely started to flower better after I started to prune it.

I get a lot of callers to my garden and when the wisteria is in bloom, I hear so many comments similar to yours about plants purchased in flower, but failing to rebloom. It is obviously a common problem. Anyway I have included a link to the RHS website and their advice so you might find some specific tips there.

    Good luck.

    Phillipio,

I have a lilac coloured wysteria growing in front, with the intention of having it growing across the front of the house (trained). It was in full flower when bought but didn't flower again for 2 years. Wisteria flower on old wood so if you are patient and give it time hopefully you should be blooming at some point.

I generally ignore mine except for training it as and when it throws out fronds or cutting back from area's such as windows :D

By the way congratulations on your marriage [IMG]

    Good luck
