    Morning friends :luv:

Woo, sorry you were not able to do your morning walk today. I bet the dogs were sitting by their leads waiting!
    Love the spring pictures everyone.

It is dull and damp here too today. Last night I went to training class :hehe: We took Roxy for her first class and it was funny to see all the different dogs saying Hello to each other. Roxy was a good girl and did not disgrace herself, everyone loved her!

    Good morning everyone,

Woo, I hope your joints get started OK. If the WD40 doesn't work you may have to try a different type of lubrication :hehe:

Jazmine, I see that you went to training classes. I hope you are learning your lessons well :hehe:

I took this cheery photo in the garden yesterday.

Thats very pretty Shiney..I thought it was an iris at first glance!

Yesterday the ground was so frozen I could not get a spade into it...pickaxe not an option as I'm working right in front of the greenhouse :hehe:. But I did mange a couple of trips out to recycle an old sandstone fireplace and hearthstone to help continue our little wall around the garden. Today its persisting down so will have to get some chore's done inside instead.

    Steve...:)

    Good afternoon everyone,

Haven't had a lot of time to get on here much at the moment as I am trying to do a lot of research on the net for my problem, but am getting there slowly:)

Lovely photos everyone and I see Shiney you have an Iris Unguicularis in flower.Ours are very slow flowering this year and at the moment only have two flowers on one of my plants:(

Had a lovely day Saturday with my sister and her hubby last Saturday although me and Mr Kandy were naughty we bought two small tiger pictures from the garden centre my sister took us all to:D

Yesterday went over to the allotment to take all the buckets of stuff I had got out of the borders last week and while I was over there managed to empty two of my builders sacks and turned the compost from one to the other to finish the composting cycle before i spread it on the allotment:) The only problem now is I have ruined the path walking up and down and it looks like a quagmire now:oops::DHopefully it will dry out before Mr Kandy sees it:lollol:

We have had rain here this morning but now the sun is out so hopefully the garden will start to dry out:)

Mr Kandy has lost two pounds in weight but none for me this week:(

Hope you all have a good day in all that you do:)

I was just looking up the traditions associated with Ground Hog day and found that its linked to Candlemas...which is also today. Anyway, the origins of GHD go back quite far back and in Scotland may be linked with this English poem.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_Day

    As the light grows longer
    The cold grows stronger
If Candlemas be fair and bright
    Winter will have another flight
If Candlemas be cloud and snow
Winter will be gone and not come again
A farmer should on Candlemas day
Have half his corn and half his hay
On Candlemas day if thorns hang a drop
You can be sure of a good pea crop

I just read this out to Anne. and at the end she said to me.

"So if Candlemass be cloud and snow..we are at winters end?"

    "Yes" I replied.

"Look out of the window" she said.

What did I see?..Cloud and snow...:lollol::yho::rotfl: WINTER IS OVER, IT'S OFFICIAL.

    Steve...:)
