Morning all, hope you are all well or at least doing alright for the day!

The past few weeks have been really busy with work so haven't had much time spare. It will pass, but only in a couple of weeks' time. But for now, at least I have this weekend off work! phew.

The storm is starting to kick in, with high gusts of wind up to 50mph here. The washing is out in order to try and take advantage! heehee. Hope you all have your hatches battened down and there is lots of tea and good things happening for you all.

Still sunny with a light breeze. I've got a few things to sort out and then hope to get out in the garden.

                Goooooooooooood morning, fellow WW'ers :spinning:

The rain has been heavy/slight/break/heavy/ etc., throughout the night. Ozzy has decided it is not the weather for him and won't even go out in the garden  Mind you, I was warned that cold, damp weather may cause him discomfort, so I've put a warm hot water bottle under an old lambs wool jumper on his bed for a bit of extra warmth. At least then he can choose to lie on it or not :doggieshmooze:

Have to go out today despite the weather ... there has been some obstructions which are making the transition to my new job less than smooth  (sour grapes springs to mind) so I need to take some documents into the new place so they can hasten things up. The person who "can" isn't there tomorrow but needs them for first thing Monday morning so it's Hobson's Choice to travelling today. Thank goodness "Sylvia" (the car) is a good runner :heehee:

@toppington - good idea re the laundry ... I'll keep an eye out for it if it flies over mine ;):heehee:

Every cloud has a silver lining, @Zigs ;)Think: cheap flight!!!! Good opportunity to check out his Willy's too; especially as it looks quite a size, so may take some time to explore. ;)

Miles of smiles and positive vibes being thrown up into the air today so they can reach everyone on the back of Brian

                  Morning all :)

I'm bloomin' knackered today - sleep and I have been somewhat estranged for the last few nights, with last night being all the worse as our wee Smudge was up and down like a yo-yo; I think the noise of the rain and a wee bit of wind was scaring him a bit (he is such a chicken, I am surprised he doesn't lay eggs!)/

We've got an Adaptil diffuser which seems to be helping a bit though, and we are giving him the Adaptil tablet (well, half a tablet as he is only little) each evening to try and help him with the fireworks; he still gets agitated, but he is not just as bad as he is without, so it seems to work.

Hope you all stay safe, warm and dry, and have a peaceful day.

                    Good day everyone
Sorry to have been MIA but lots of distractions have kept me busy and out of spare time to play. More nonsense with the courts. More nonsense with getting the car, that belonged to my dear friend, transported. More nonsense getting things sorted for his condo sale closing. But so far, I believe I have the nonsense for this week finished with.

My son and I are going to a client's later this morning to install a couple of valances and then it will be play time.

We're running out of days with moderate temps and I need to get the white convertible top on my car cleaned and protected before the winter. Got an hour or so in on the job and hopefully I can finish it this afternoon. :)

I also need to make some bread. Think I'll try to make a rye bread and use some Guinness instead of water. I've got a dozen or so cans of that beer to use up so I might as well give this little experiment a shot.

I'm glad to see everyone is well and hasn't been blown off the isle or taken flight :)

                    Play safe all :)

:shhhh: Guinness is not a beer :nonofinger: Guinness is stout ;)
My mother would have a glass of Guinness on her birthday (Boxing Day) and she would always say: "It is medicinal!" :ccheers:

                              Good evening, fellow WW'ers :spinning:

I braved Brian :phew: and took the required paperwork to my new employer. Seemed such a pity to drive those miles and just ... return home. So, most unlike me, I took a wander around some of the shops.

I didn't buy anything for the house :nonofinger: (well, ok, I did  but only storage); I didn't buy anything for the garden :nonofinger: (erm ... apart from a packet of seeds, but just the one packet and it was on its own so it would have been rude not to  ); I didn't buy *anything* for the chooks or Oz; (ok, a packet of treats was all :dunno: ); nor was it a food shop :nonofinger: (except, had to get *something* in for tea, seeing as I was out shopping for sooooooo long  ) but, and this is a very rare thing ... I bought something for ... (drumroll, please) ...

                              ... ME!!!!!!! :dancy:

I really was on my way home, or, at least pointed in that direction (:dunno: ) when I heard Laura calling my name ... Em, M, "M" ... so, I paid this old friend (Ms Ashley) a little visit ... lots of eye candy to be had! ... spent aaaaaaages ogling, ooh-ing and ahh-ing, dreaming and ... well, more dreaming ... and then, as if I was powerless and overtaken by a buying demon ... I was treating myself. Yes, me: myself; "I"! :heehee:

Never let it be said that I don't know how to push the boat out :snooty: I treated myself to something special (at 50% off :thud: ) a most gorgeous glass lidded jar (with candle; scented!) which is just the thing for my Edwardian dressing table :wub2:

Haven't lit it, yet, to see if I like its scent :noidea: ... but, hey, it is the glass container I bought it for, the candle is merely a Bertie Bonus :heehee:

It is the simple things in life: sometimes! ;) :dbgrtmb:

                              xxMxx

I'm very late on parade! I think we should call my post night night sleepy sleepy! Lol

I've been busy with work & the kitchen :phew:....still no kitchen sink I might add, but the good news is that the new oven arrives on Tuesday then on Thursday the worktops can be measured, hopefully they will be fitted next week then I can get the sink sorted! Now why is it you try to do one job & you end up doing 100!

I've not spent much time in the garden recently & I have to say it's looking a bit tatty...I'm hoping to have a day off on Tuesday to garden & receive delivery of the cooker :hapydancsmil:, that information is too secret! Pls don't tell anyone I have some free time! Lol

I realised today it's only 7 months to Shineyland :hapfeet:...if that doesn't make you happy nothing will!
