Good day everyone We are enjoying the third sunny day in a row. Still hovering around freezing during the days and nasty cold at night but the sun makes everything seem spring like. Only about 8 more weeks before we can start planting things out in the garden. Have a super day and play safe!
Aloha everyone, Today will be busy as I'm running a charity event this afternoon and expect to raise £600-£700. I'm having trouble with emails at the moment and can't work out how to solve the problem. I renewed all our insurances yesterday and averaged about 15% discount on them - I think they dropped the price just to get me off the phone . We have a mild morning and roads are now clear. Keep well and have a great day Aloha!

Aloha everyone, I've had a very busy couple of days and not out of the woods yet. The charity event on Tuesday did well and we raised over £800. Wednesday I actually got a lot of gardening done and suffered yesterday because of it . Four meetings yesterday plus having to go into town to help Barry sort out his housing benefit forms. As usual, the Council have used six year old figures of his benefit income, savings accounts etc. and added in accounts that he hasn't had for 20 years. I write to them every year correcting their errors - which they acknowledge and adjust his housing benefit accordingly but they obviously don't bother to adjust his records. So, I've got to do another letter for him (they have on record that I'm his representative but still sometimes question it) and get them to sort it out before the rent change for April. All this effort is for very little. At the moment they've reduced his benefit by 60p per week whereas they should have increased it by about a pound. Not a great deal, but it comes to £80 in the year. In the meantime the rest of the paperwork is piling up. Frosty at the moment but the wind has dropped. Keep well and have a great day Aloha!
