Laying compost .....steaming, hot and looking good enough to eat (wont try that though)
Snowdrops flowering in a couple of spots....heart warming

Morning everyone , feeling fed up and sorry for myself today as I still feel very rough and now have an earache and temperature ......and my Dad is wanting to know when I will be doing his garden!!

Back from a long walk to the beach.....beautifully sunny and very warm.....what cold snap??? Nico needs a towel down from a dip in the sea

Will grab a few more bags of compost later.......as much as I need and cheap as chips. A job for a few weeks ahead will be to sieve it as fine as possible, mix it with sifted garden sandy loam, add grit and fertiliser instead of buying bagged mpc for containers. Mpc seems increasingly poor quality only appreciated only by vine weevils

Had a power cut here since 4:15 this morning but thankfully it has just come back on. Don't know what was the cause though.

How are you all?

Someone mentioned snow on the TV this morning....I told my hens about it when they got up, Doris replied ‘Bok off!’ I guess that’s hen language for no we aren’t?? Or something like that!? My girls have just had a hard moult, they are all looking rather splendid in their new feathers , none of them are laying any eggs....I’ve had to buy eggs for the first time in years...time to increase my flock .

Family......well they really have been at their worst just recently, imhaving a break from them, I refuse to let them get me down anymore .

My cat is still doing really well, we have a new young vet, he’s lovely & is rather taken by my cat, apparently my cat (23 years old) is the oldest cat he’s ever seen! . He’s thyroid levels remain the same, he’s still on the same meds & blood test results are about the same. There’s life in the old boy yet!

I’ve not been in the garden much so far this year, I’ve only achieved a bit of cutting back the dead plants from last year , I really need to get myself organised & start on my veggie patch.

Morning @moyra , thanks I am feeling better today inasmuch that all the facial pain has gone.. just call me Rudolph, the reindeer not the ballet dancer!!! ( although both are spelt differently)
