    Good morning

This is my first post on here so apologies if this is in the wrong section but I am a pretty amateur gardener

We moved house in December and have started to hack and prune away around our new garden which was in fair order but needs some TLC for the new family home

We have a fair size patio area and by our back door is a low wall with behind two 1ft high patio planters, they are in a shady spot which gets no sun at all
Now I know the people before us planted clematis in these but what I'd really like is something I could plant which would be year round foliage (flowering once a year) either a climber or just something which would add a nice layer behind this wall which could be admired from the breakfast table through the patio doors

I know im limited in the position, light and the depth of tubs but I wanted your views and suggestions on what could solve this

Looking forward to my first responses

Could you tell us a bit more about location of planter, size, and whether you want flowers or evergreen or both. Maybe a picture of the planters in question would assist in a response too.

Golden oregano, is very hardy, will give a bright colour and you can use it in your cooking. Flowers in the summer.

First hello and welcome to GC Westewales.
Fuchsias would be nice, or heucheras , or Prunus dwarf cherry as the foliage is stunning.
      You also get dwarf acers.

In Autumn you could plant out Spring bulbs layer planting them.

      Good luck with your garden.
