Could you help me id this plant? It has yellow, pea-like flowers and large papery-brittle pods. The leaves are like those of an acacia. One of the fresh pods was red and bladder like and made a pop when squished! It was growing in full sun and was a spreading shrub about 8ft tall. Thanks.

Sounds like the False Senna plant. Proper name escapes me for the moment.
