yellow-flowering succulant

    I saw this in many places this week in Malta. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a close-up of it.

    I saw it in bloom in January this year in Cyprus and Sis says it is blooming down her way now too.

    Someone posted pics of the leaves some months ago, it appears that some are red and others green, rosette like.

    ID please - thanks!

    It looks like it could be some kind of aeonium.
