Yew clippings

    Is it safe to put yew clippings, including shredded branches, on the compost tip? Can I use it as a mulch?

    Chrysy probably better using it as a mulch it would take ages to compost.

    I would be inclined to agree with Walnut, better off using it as a mulch. David.

    I cant see why not, it will certainly add a good mix of fibrous content to the heap. On the other hand woody material generally takes an age to decompose.
