I would like to plant yew tree hedging in my border. It is only 80cms between the fence and sleeper border edge. Is this wide enough?

They will also be under pleached red robins, do you think this will be OK?

Yew can be kept quite narrow so the border size is fine but for one or the other. Both competing together will struggle

I think it's wide enough, if you mean you want it 800mm wide.
They will need some decent light so will they get at least some sunshine in that position.
