Is this our youngest beginner? My little fella helping mum out in the garden.

    And afterwards......

These were taken a couple of years ago , when the new stage of the garden was in it's infancy! I've since moved and heartbroken to leave my beautiful walled garden. Still watch this space for progress on my new patch!!

Hi, Sheppy, I'd hate leaving those lovely sheds ... were they the original outdoor loo and coal sheds as my family has had in some homes?

Yes they were, the loo was actually still in the outhouse when I moved in. I had the house over 13 years and the garden changed loads over that time. Unfortunately my older pics were taken on normal camera and I haven't a scanner. I originally had it very much informal, and cottagey. Here's pretty much the only pic I can find. I'll keep digging though, it really was beautiful.

As you can see, little fella always has a hand in, he can't help but grow up with the love of gardening! Still, thought it was time I made way for for play houses, slides and climbing frames!! I still had areas of lovely planting too though, just not so much!

I'm trying to make this small clay ridden red fenced garden I've got now more like home, and my little boy is keen to plant. Sowed his very first sunflowers this year! Early grooming certainly paying off!

I have some pictures somewhere of myself with a childs wooden wheel barrow - great to encourage the youngsters, stays with them for life.

    Well done that man!
