Zebra Grass ( Miscanthus)

    Hi all, is now a good time to cut back my Zebra Grasses ?

      Hi Mark Welcome to GC , where roughly are you , personaly if in the South UK ideal time is now but further north I would leave a good haircut until March.

          Agree with Spruce although the last of my miscanthus was cut back a few days ago
          When you cut back be careful not to cut any new growth.....if you cut into new growth it will make the foliage look tatty for the growing season. :)

              We've done all ours. :dbgrtmb: Have good look first to see whether the new shoots are visible and then cut just above them. We always do ours early as there's so much that we have to use a hedge cutter.

              Some of the less dense grasses I snap the stems off instead of cutting.
