Zen on a Budget

Recently I added a new shelf to my bonsai bench. Looking from the kitchen window, the end view was a little uninspiring. So I decided to make a little miniature Zen garden to camouflage the structural aspect. I've included most of the usual suspects you'd find in a Japanese Garden albeit in a confined space. Bamboo, Japanese grasses, and Saxifrage. As yet unfinished, it should look miles better once matured and mossed over. Just a little project to keep the old cogs turning until re-potting time.

The Magic of Moss!
Although confined, it is serving the intended purpose of disguising the end of my bonsai bench which wasn't very awe-inspiring from the kitchen window. It's progressing nicely, with a few Japanese-oriented plants still to go in and a few positional aspects still to sort, but I'm happy with the path it's on.
