    Have you downloaded the program?
Next step is to Email the person you wish to zoom with and invite them to join you.
Unless you have received an invite, in which case you need to click on the invitation.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know of any program and I wouldn't know how to download it. If you or someone could explain that to me I would be grateful.

On a side note, Zoom, Skype and Teams video calls are an incredibly good addition to our means of keeping in touch.

We three siblings have a weekly Skype call with our Dad (83) and it makes all the difference. In spite of the distance we are closely connected to each other's daily life, and even though my siblings live near our Dad they meet more often over Skype than in real life.

Plus my young niece often pops in to show a new drawing or a toy to us all. :)

The technology sometimes trips us up but once everything is set up it's fairly easy. These things are designed for humans. :)

During Covid work started using Zoom, then migrated to Teams.
The result some colleagues spend almost all day in Teams meetings with headphones on, not contributing more than a few sentences and spending the time playing with their phones.

I think it's a good thing if used correctly. I am not good with gadgets but I wish I was ...

They're on about Zoom US. Is there a Zoom UK. I tried googling it but got nowhere.
Is the US one all right for this country ?.

There's only one version that I know if. If there happens to be location specific versions then you'll only be able to download the one for your location. When using it, there would be no issues when using it.

I think there is only the one but I'm not all that knowledgeable about it and just use it.

This may be of use for you to print and keep by your computer until you are used to it.

              https://www.ageuk.org.uk/bp-assets/globalassets/trafford/how-to-use-zoom-for-the-first-time.pdf

We started using it during covid in order to keep in touch with family and have been using it regularly ever since. We now have monthly Zoom meetings with family around the world. We have three different groups - two are with cousins on my father's side of the family and my mother's side of the family and one with Mrs Shiney's family. Sadly, at our age, none of the upper generation are with us although a cousin that joins in a monthly meeting is over 100 :blue thumb:

I agree with @Loofah to only sign up for the free version. That will allow you forty minutes per Zoom. That works quite well as you don't have to worry about how to get away without upsetting someone :heehee:

              Good luck with it. :)

Thank for your help, I have joined the free version. I'll leave it now until I want to contact someone.

Is there a way of saving it on my computer because I don't think I could find it again ?

There might be a Zoom icon on your desktop, if you selected that option during install. Otherwise press the Windows key (bottom left on pc keyboard) and scroll down the list of applications to find Zoom.
