    Yes, my greenhouse gets very damp, and although I ventilate it regularly by opening the door and windows, the air still feels damp in there when we get a rainy period.

    It's good to see plants coming to life after the winter and it'll be interesting to identify the bulbs under the Dogwood. It's too early for Bluebells but they could be Tulips.

    They are really at their best before June, then you can replace them with summer bedding. It also depends a bit on the weather. When it's hot they don't last so long.

    I agree, that a lot depends on what stage they are at. If you are only cutting small branchlets then a little sap bleeding will not hurt. You can always do more in late May-June, as long as you are not cutting anything thicker than a pencil. Any bigger cuts will have to wait till Winter.
