I agree, I think everyone has got used to just take it out the bag, pot something up, water it, stand back and watch it grow. It has become the modern way.

Yes I heard this on the radio, they also want to track when flowering starts. They are using Tete a Tete as the indicator as it's so widely known and grown. So if you have them go to RHS website and let them know where you are and when they flower.

I think the main thing with rubber plants is they survive where others would die. Survive being the operative word, they just struggle on even when unhappy. That was why they have always been popular, but you rarely see one that is thriving outside a conservatory.
