Thank you both
I think I'll go for a proper chop (except the bit that's already recovering after storm damage), a seaweed feed and a mulch and see what happens...

Inherited pond, first time pond owner help!
Only for so long even then. 'Our' agrilac was 2m deep when it was dug out 30 years ago. The surrounding poplar trees have shed into it and now there's only 60cm of water above the sludge.

Green bin, to pay or not to pay?
@cactus_girl I understand bins are being collected by contractors. The council just need the bins emptying, they can't afford to be too concerned about whether it should be recycled or not

My Cottage Garden (EmmaS32)
It looks lovely and full of character. The greenhouse looks really nice. I miss mine since I moved. I like your idea of linking the areas with paths.

My tree fern has got two old trunks
Thanks goodness it survived. It took months back then. Wooden planter is ordered, once it gets warmer, I will start doing it before I feel worse again in two weeks time.

Yes, my greenhouse gets very damp, and although I ventilate it regularly by opening the door and windows, the air still feels damp in there when we get a rainy period.

Non-Gardener builds an Observatory, Garden Railway and even Dabbles with Plants!
It's good to see plants coming to life after the winter and it'll be interesting to identify the bulbs under the Dogwood. It's too early for Bluebells but they could be Tulips.

Winter Pansies - am i too late?
They are really at their best before June, then you can replace them with summer bedding. It also depends a bit on the weather. When it's hot they don't last so long.

Things that have made you happy today 2025
@Selleri , loved the mental image of swan stopping traffic- wonderful and how lovely to have lots of them about. If you have a-plenty , tell some of those swans to come and visit us here.

Oops! Might have just sown an extra half dozen seeds, as "back-up".
Meanwhile, the December sown micros are going into their final pots, mostly destined for new homes.
