    Thanks guys. At a local compost place near me Biowise they sell 1 ton bags of compost 10mm for £35.00 they call it soil enhancer if I got some of this & riddled the lumps out then mixed it 2/3...

    With the Autumn prunings to compost I started with fresh horse muck/straw and the 4ft open bin is now full and steaming nicely.

    shredded leaves in compost

    I store my shredded leaves and chopped woody stuff in bags and a bin and just add in thin layers to my main 2 year cycle heap. Rots down a treat.
