Onion Harvest When ?
Mine are all flopped over now, I pulled them up yesterday and laid them on the soil to dry out and harden up for storage. In a week I'll lay them on some netting so the air can get round them.

I reckon it will break up if you tread it just as its drying after a good downpour?Might be best left open for the winter to have a crack at it, but otherwise how about a green manure over...

In my opinion you need to do it now, making Nettle tea will take too long.Reason for not doing it later is Nitrogen will stimulate soft growth, and you want the plant to have time to harden that...
