I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and raise the plants in the greenhouse. he tip about planting a seed for each plant is a a good one, should be warm enough by then.

Sam, my tree is about 4m tall. With judicious pruning, it's easy enough to keep them shorter.

So, I got a bit too excited with sowing...
i can never bring myself to chuck seedlings out
i always end up sowing ton's more than i need (i think everyone does) so every year i have to make emergency seed trays/pots from cereal boxes, milk...
