Wet or Dry soil for Potatoes?
When I say wet, its not sodden, it will dry out, I guess in the winter it kinda collect it, and I think on the other side the tree roots drink it up, I have put loads of manure down, about 4 or 5...

You could always grow stuff in containers, which you can put in the part of the garden which gets the most sun. Have a look here for some ideas. Have a look at the Edible Garden forum as well.
