Eat the ones that are marked or split first. The rest will gradually ripen in a cool dry place (not the fridge!) They should keep for at least a couple of weeks.

Apparently this is nothing more than a gardening myth. Tests done by some lab or other ( can't recall the name ) proved that tomatoes require warmth to ripen, but not sunlight... in fact direct...
