I think I konw what your asking ...and I dont think new leaves do re grow and the stem...I think its just giving the impression of doing that as it grows quickly in summer.....you could be right...

Sprayed on soapy water works after a fashion but you have to be persistent, spraying with chemicals doesn't seem to make much difference but I'd rather not with food crops. I usually just wash...
